Brown's Pottery was first opened in 1924 by the late Davis P. Brown. It is currently owned and operated by grandson Charles, and his wife Jeannette - 8th generation potters. Brown's Pottery is located on Highway 25 South, in Arden, NC.

Our shop offers a wide variety of cookware as well as our continuing traditional face jugs for our many collectors. All wares produced are lead free, dishwasher safe, microwave safe and oven proof. We offer a wide variety of colors including Raspberry, Lavender, Country Blue, Cobalt Blue and Smokey Mountain Green as well as our classic traditional Red "Brown". |

Charlie who is the Eighth Generation Potter turns all of the wares produced for the shop. His wife Jeannette, then finishes, glazes and fires all wares turned.
Their teamwork continues the heritage of being one of the five oldest pottery families in America. The heritage will continue as Charlie and Jeannette's son, Lil' Charlie, is now turning and selling his wares. Christian, is also learning the feel of clay. |
